my city: southwest paris

This time it’s my turn to share my favorite spots in the Paris 15th and 16th districts.

Shop at: The 16th arrondissement is a haven for vintage and second hand finds. One of the largest consignment stores is Réciproque, divided into 6 boutiques along Rue de la Pompe, with each shop dedicated to specific category. End of series designer shoes can be found at Garrice Stock (15, Rue de Lourmel).  For the high-street shopping experience try Rue de Passy and Rue du Commerce, where you’ll find chains like Maje, Bel Air, Sandro, COS, Sephora and MAC. Rudy’s at 29, Rue du Commerce is worth checking out for their affordable leather shoes in classic styles.

Eat at: One of my favorite restaurants in Paris is BON (25, Rue de la Pompe). Their take on Asian fusion is delicious every time, plus Starck’s decoration is both cozy and interesting. For traditional French food try this charming, little bistro called Le Casse Noix  (56 Rue de la Fédération). L’Entre Amis (9, Rue Bouchut) offers modern French cuisine with affordable pricing.

Stay at:  On budget stay, get your beauty sleep in this stylish hotel in Cambronne, First Hotel (2, boulevard Garibaldi). If you are looking to indulge yourself with five-star hotel experience, then check out Hotel Raphael (17, Avenue Kleber).  This beautiful hotel is classically decorated with a rooftop restaurant overlooking the city.

Drink at: For fancy sips check out L’Arc (12, Rue de Presbourg). La Gare (19 Chaussée de la Muette) is an old train station turned into restaurant and bar.

Party at: 15th and 16th districts are disappointing for clubbing. But if you start an evening with cocktails at L’Arc (12, Rue de Presbourg), you may as well continue through the night at their club and terrace.

Listen to: Right now I have Bon Iver and Frank Ocean on power listening.

Hidden treasure:  Not so hidden, but nonetheless my favorite park in Paris, Bois de Boulogne is located along the western edge of the 16th district. Here you can go jogging or bicycling in the forest, and it almost feels like you are away from the city.
