Brooklyn Bowl originally launched in New York (hence the name) in 2009 as a food, live music, and bowling venue. Now it has jumped over the pond, bringing some original nightlife to London full of pins and pints. Beyond racking up some strikes, it bridging the gap between the Brooklyn music scene and the best of international and homegrown British talent. We have included the full spring line up for you into summer.
This month also sees the launch of three weekly resident nights: Boogaloo Bowl brings the groove to Mondays with soul and funk from London’s finest bands and DJs; DJ Questlove Presents: Bowl Train takes over Thursdsays in April, with a weekly DJ set of house, hip hop and rare grooves inspired by the Roots drummer’s residency in NYC, featuring a DJ Questlove hand selected, BBC Radio’s Benji B; and Saturday night’s Brooklyn Hustle features DJ sets from London’s hottest DJs.
“We’re thrilled with the artists coming through Brooklyn Bowl London this year,” says co-owner Peter Shapiro. “Questlove’s residency is a signature aspect of Brooklyn Bowl New York, so bringing Bowl Train to London makes it seem even more like home.”
