Peter Gray Creates Punk Princesses

Hairstylist Peter Gray, known for his radical cuts, teamed up with photographer Fumi Nagasaka to capture  his colorful punk inspired cuts and colors for the August issue of Dazed & Confused.

Peter Gray told Dazed “I was inspired by some punk hairdressing postcards I found at a car boot sale about 10 years ago. I’ve had them on my wall for all that time and finally decided to show them to a hairdresser and use them as a starting point to create some very extreme ‘hair art’.

Last summer was all about the pixie, and this winter we saw an array of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo cuts. Since the rise of the undercut from Kreuzberg to Shoreditch,  women are willing to make hair statements and you can even find some of the most conservative women with pink highlights or blue tips. It will interesting if Gray’s punk inspired styles will be next.
