Berlin based photographer Ron Goldstein has revived the iconic femme fatale reminiscent in classic film noir with sexual motifs echoing the works of Helmut Newton. Après Minuit has found a place in modernity, mixing vintage pieces with new collections against soft influxes of midnight colors on the cusp of Parisian spring evenings. Makeup artist Patrick Bordes creates a smoky eye against a pale face producing a feeling of intense drama while exuding an air of upscale elegance that is timeless. In the search for my Spring wardrobe inspiration, I stumbled upon this editorial shot by photographer Mark Pillai and styled by Claudia Carretti entitled simply, "Danze". From the Italian magazine Amica's March 2010 edition, model Masha Kirsanova takes to the stage with elegance and poise. The flowing clothes seem to accentuate the body in its natural grace and femininity. Of course, a dancer I am not... but I'm quite sure that one need not be to appreciate the beauty of these images. After a successful starring role in David Bowie's The Stars (Are Out Tonight), Tilda Swinton shows us once again that she isn't limited to just film, as she teams up with Tim Walker as the ultimate fashion muse with a range of feminine and androgynous features. Art Director Jerry Stafford and stylist Jacob K. conceptualized the Surrealist art references to Salvador Dalí, Giorgio de Chirico, Remedios Varo, and Leonora Carrington. Read more
French label Pièce d'Anarchive is bringing luxury with sporty cuts this spring, redefining the meaning of "atheltic chic" in their spring summer 2013 collection entitled Chapter 03. Along with teaming up with photographer Paolo Roversi to shoot their ss13 lookbook with Arizona Muse in front of the camera, they also collaborated with dancer Leonore Zurfluh directed by Kurt Stallaert.
