burgeoning bourgeois buns at eclectic

For our up-coming fashion editorial, last summer's top knot is becoming a structured bun for a smooth transition from day to night. A stroke of very Parisian gel eyeliner and juicy berry colored lips shaped with liner adds a touch of vintage glamour. Make-up artist Lucie Stauffenegger uses Make-Up Atelier Paris, a cult cosmetic brand, for our shoot. Peachy highlighted cheeks create a doll like effect that counter balances the shaded eyebrows, steering away from the masculine look of previous seasons and creating a new one reminiscent of the bold looks that made up the early 90's, that made stars out of Helena Christensen, Carla Bruni, and Linda Evangelista. While the bun may conjure up images of the 60's, together with the make-up it creates the emerging look of the new “café société”.

I like this look so much more than the top knot! Beautiful makeup.
