bellacures at newport beach

One of my destinations in OC was Bellacures salon in the cute main street in Balboa Island of Newport Beach. They kindly treated me with a complementary manicure, it was the perfect holiday treat to sit back in their plush chairs and get my nails done.

I ended up getting the gel manicure for the first time. Let me tell you, I’m completely in love with my newly polished nails. For those of you, who are not familiar with the gel manicure concept: It applies like regular polish, but each layer is cured under UV-light, resulting in a polish that lasts minimum of two weeks without chipping or fading. I also notice that my nails feel much stronger than before with the gel layer supporting them.

We chose a very bright, almost neon, orangey red color called Tiger Blossom. I absolutely love this color, it is so summery and goes perfectly with my now slightly tanned skin.

Now the only thing I want is the same treatment on my toe nails.

Newbies: OPI Minnie Mouse and Essie Metallics.

Notice the little glitter dust.

If you are in Southern California check out one of the Bellacures locations – your hands and feet will thank you.

when i was deciding to get fake nails i rehsarceed to see what would be better. Gel overall wins, but i myself got acrylics, and i love them. They do not hurt one bit when they are put on, and mine look great! it all comes down to you . do u want to pay for gels(gels look more natural) or do u want acrylics that are cheaper and have a bad smell when putting them on?

Cool! I loved my gels as well, and really miss that neat & polished look now. Gotta go and get new ones soon :)

I agree. I think it’s it’s great that there are different options available these days – from acrylic to gels. It just comes down to trying them on, and finding what works best for you. For example, I normally do manicure at home, but would definitely get gels for any special occasion, when I don’t want to deal with doing my nails.
